Plug Into the Life of the Church

The Annual Lighting of the Way will begin at 4:30pm Sunday December 8, 2024. This communal celebration of ushering in Advent unites our Van Wyck community to ecumenically light the way along Old Hickory Road. We will begin at the Van Wyck Post Office with a welcome from Mayor Sean Corcoran and the lighting of the first candles by the Van Wyck clergy. We will then light the candles along Old Hickory Road and stop for brief celebrations of worship at Van Wyck Presbyterian Church, Van Wyck United Methodist Church, then drive to Trinity Presbyterian Church, and conclude the evening at White Oak AME Zion Church.
